“SOLARIS BUS &COACH S.A.” is a manufacturer of buses, trams and trolleybuses with the headquarters in Bolechovo, Poland. The company was founded in 1994 under the name “Neoplan Poland” and since January 1996 it has started to produce Neoplan – low-floor city buses – under a German licence. Since1999, first buses under the brand name Solaris (Urbino model) have been manufactured. As of 2001, “Neoplan Poland” has operated under a new name – “Solaris Bus & Coach”.
On the European market, Solaris is known as a distinctive brand of innovative technologies as confirmed by the award gained at the International Bus and Coach Trade Fair in Belgium in 2012.
The company currently employs 2000 people and successfully manufactures 2000 vehicles a year – designed for urban and suburban transport.
